Prof. Arthur Frost
- Chancellor -
Prof. Arthur Frost serves as Chancellor and a senior lecturer, bringing over 30 years of ministry and teaching experience. Spiritually mentored by Dr. Jimmy Crompton of Word of Faith, South Africa, he developed a strong foundation in the Word and a powerful impartation of the Holy Spirit’s anointing.
Prof. Frost holds a Ph.D. in Christian Education and a D.D., degrees that support his calling to equip believers for ministry.
He has taught at numerous Bible colleges across South Africa and has extensive experience in deliverance ministry, particularly with individuals coming out of the occult. A dynamic speaker, he is deeply committed to seeing lives transformed by the power of God. His passion is to help the Body of Christ walk in freedom, maturity, and spiritual authority.
He was also instrumental in developing the Academy’s four-year Bible curriculum, working with other respected teachers to train students both spiritually and practically for their God-given assignments. He continues to raise and mentor leaders across the nation, empowering them to stand strong in truth and spiritual boldness.
Ps Leslie Hessel
- Vice Chancellor -
Pastor Leslie Hessel serves as the Vice Chancellor of our university, bringing a wealth of experience in ministry, leadership, and church governance. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Port Elizabeth and has completed numerous certificates and diplomas in Biblical studies through ministries like Team Impact and Word of Faith (ERC), and Rhema. His areas of expertise include Leadership, Church Governance, Bible Prophecy, and the Person of the Holy Spirit.
Ordained in 2001, Pastor Hessel has played a significant role in church planting, having personally planted two churches and been involved in several others. He and his wife have run their own Bible School, and he has developed and taught short courses for Bible colleges and churches.
With leadership roles dating back to the early 1990s, he has also consulted for non-profits, supporting initiatives in HIV care, SME business incubation, and community feeding schemes. Driven by his passion to see lives transformed, his teaching philosophy is simple yet profound: “Unlock the full Godly gifting and call in every believer to maximise their impact, input, and contribution to see people born again and thereby establish the Kingdom of God on this earth.”
Prof. Nicolas Marais
- Administrative Head of Accreditation & Compliance -
Prof. Nicolas F. Marais serves as the Administrative Head of Accreditation & Compliance. With extensive experience in theological education and institutional oversight, he brings a wealth of knowledge in Bible college curricula, academic standards, and accreditation processes, particularly within the U.S. context.
Prof. Marais holds a Doctor of Divinity from Team Impact Christian University and a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counselling from Therapon University. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Counselling and a Bachelor of Theology from Teamwork Bible College and University International.
His academic background is matched by practical experience in leadership development and ministry training. An expert in Christian counselling and practical ministry, Prof. Marais has authored several educational resources, including Research Writing Made Easy for Bible School Students and The Kingdom Leadership Development Program.
Beyond academia, he is the Visionary Leader of Apostolic People International and serves as Director of Arise, contributing significantly to the development of leaders and churches globally. His passion for excellence in Christian education and commitment to kingdom leadership continue to shape his academic and ministry pursuits.
Ps Renée Hoffman
- Executive Assistant & Student Advisor -
Pastor Renée Hoffman is the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor and one of our Student Advisors. She holds a BA in Christian Ministry and numerous certificates and diplomas in Theology, education, psychometrics, and Psychology.
She brings over 20 years of business and leadership experience to our team. She is passionate about behavior in the workplace, offering practical and motivational guidance, especially for introverted leaders. She is the author of the book series, “Stories That Feel – Emotional Intelligence Journaling Guide for Kids” and has served as Academic Dean of Word of Faith Bible College in South Africa and as a management consultant for Thomas International.
As founder of Charity Projects PE, her work in disadvantaged communities gained widespread recognition through radio, television, and newspaper features. She has also received notable honours for her contributions, including the ‘Your Voice SA Globe’ and the ‘Paul Harris Fellow’ awards.
Her diverse experience and heart for service make her a valuable part of the university, where she continues to mentor and support students and staff. Renée’s practical wisdom and compassionate spirit are a tremendous asset, helping to foster an environment of growth and excellence for everyone she encounters.
Ps Connie Zziwa
- Senior Lecturer -
Pastor Connie Zziwa is a dedicated lecturer with a Bachelor of Theology (specializing in Christian Counselling) from Team Impact Christian University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism from Makerere University.
With over 11 years of experience in prison ministry and 9 years working with the poor and unemployed through the W4AL initiative, she brings a deep passion for restoration and community upliftment to her teaching. Her ministry extends to hospital outreach, intercessory prayer, and years of service as a Bible school teacher and lecturer.
Pastor Connie’s calling is deeply rooted in Isaiah 58:12 (ESV): “And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in,” a verse that defines her purpose and teaching philosophy.
Her commitment to rebuilding lives and communities through the Word is evident in her practical ministry, which she shares with students to inspire them in their own callings.
